My Journey

Joy Braun is a 8x Ironman triathlon finisher throughout the USA and Mexico. She has had many podium finishes in Sprint and Olympic-distance triathlons and 5K to half marathons. In 2011, Joy (aka Joyful Tri Girl) qualified for the Boston marathon. She is a USA Triathlon Level I Certified Coach.

Her personal record for an Ironman finish time is 11:28, achieved while recovering from a broken pelvic bone after a hit and run cycling accident. She dreamed it, so she did it! She has qualified for USA Triathlon National Championship six times and raced the Olympic-distance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2015.

Joyful Tri Girl has been coaching athletes for swim, bike, and run since 2015. While she enjoys all distances and abilities, she specializes in the newer athlete with big dreams. She is a huge believer in mental strength and also enjoying training and racing.
